Day 1

May 3rd and I had another early flight after work at 6 a.m. where I headed to Vegas. This time to meet up with my co-workers Inee and Lenny. I had a layover in LA that lasted about an hour and a half and then we backtracked to Vegas. I took a Lyft ride to the Rio to meet up with the guys and then together, we took the bus to the strip to eat the buffet at Wynn. After stuffing myself like a thanksgiving turkey, we walked the strip a little bit before heading back to the hotel to hang out at the pool and swim.

Before continuing my journey, I had to take a quick nap; It followed with another bus ride to the strip with Inee and Lenny so they could ride the High Roller, which is the world’s largest Ferris wheel, but first, a competition. The deal was to see who could finish a 32 oz. daiquiri from Breeze Daiquiri Bar, and who ever finished last had to buy the next round of drinks. After walking the strip for a few minutes Lenny ended up losing the bet and the next drinks were on him. After Lenny and Inee rode the Ferris wheel it was time to eat. Snack time followed at White Castle and then we decided to take the bus to Fremont Street. After a little Casino hopping and Lenny winning $300 at blackjack, we took the bus back to the strip for pizza at Fulton. By then the day had reached it’s end and so did I, as I headed back to the hotel for some rest.

Day 2

I started day 2 around 12, since we stayed out until 4 a.m. the night before. We jumped on the bus to head to the Encore Beach Club for the Kygo concert. The concert was awesome; it had great mixes, great people, no drama and was filled with good times. I left early around 5:30 p.m. to head back to the hotel to go pack my bag and get a Lyft ride to the airport. My Lyft driver Christy was excellent; talked about traveling and her time living in Vegas and California. She also humorously mentioning that a lot of Californians are moving to Austin to take over, which is actually true :D.

I arrived at the airport 2 hours early. I grabbed a bite to eat at Wendy’s and waited for my flight to LA. The flight was only an hour long and when I got there I met up with my old Germany classmate Ashley to grab some food. We decided to hit up Original Tommy’s Hamburger. I ordered the double chili cheese burger and a chili cheese dog. It wasn’t bad at all, I give it a solid 7.5 out of 10. Later in the evening I passed out and didn’t even know it.

Day 3

I woke on day 3 around 11 am after I realized I fell asleep. Finally got out of bed around 12 p.m. to get dressed and head over to the pool party to meet all my old classmates from Germany. The party was for a good friend of mine, Josh, AKA J.Brooka; model, actor, and rapper in LA, who was celebrating his birthday. The party was super fun and full of good times, including Josh in a speedo, a crown, and a cape. At the party I met some cool new people, including Vega, Josh Right Hand Man, and Chuckey, who films everything for Josh. One of my good friends Chris aka Urhighnez had also came from Austin Texas to be at the party.

The party ended at 6pm. After cleaning up, Chris, Ashley and I all went to Roscoe's Chicken and Waffles. The food was so good I instantly got the itis after eating a waffle, 3 chicken thighs, mac n’ cheese, cornbread and greens. After eating we headed over to Josh’s place to hang out and chill. Good times and laughter was in attendance as always. After saying my goodbyes to Josh, Vega, Chris and Nicole, I headed back to my hotel for some much needed rest. The very next day was my last, and I pretty much slept until around 10 am, checked out of my hotel and headed to the airport to head back home to Austin. In these very few days I had an amazing time to hangout with old and new friends. Until next time.
